Lafayette Summer Music Workshop

If you are a middle or high school musician and are serious about jazz, this is the place to be this summer!

Supported by the Generations in Jazz Foundation, this week-long music workshop provides an intimate environment for learning and playing the language of jazz. Working sessions are small and are led by professional musicians.

The workshop is August 3–8, 2008, at Stanley Middle School, 3455 School Street, Lafayette, California.

  • First-rate lunches and snacks

On Sunday, August 3rd, you will be assigned a ten minute audition and music theory placement time. Without this audition your correct placement can not be guaranteed. The actual workshop schedule is MondayFriday, from 9:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. The final concert, ending with performances by the instructors, is Friday from 3:309:30 p.m.
